Looks like it's going to be a very happy new year for Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz. The pregnant "We Are Here" singer, 33, revealed during an appearance on The View on Monday, Sept. 29, that she's due to give birth to her second child at the end of December.
"They tell me Dec. 31," Keys told The View co-hosts Rosie O'Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez, and Nicolle Wallace. "I think that's kinda cute."
O'Donnell, herself a mother of five, agreed, and then asked how motherhood inspired the musician to start the We Are Here movement, which, according to the campaign website, aims to "create the change we all want to see in the world."
"Being a mother has definitely given me more of a fierceness and an understanding of just what I believe in, that much more," Keys replied, as a photo of her with son Egypt, 3, flashed across the screen behind her.
The Grammy winner first announced her second pregnancy back in July, with an Instagram photo of her and her husband, 35. "Happy Anniversary to the love of my life @therealswizz!!" she captioned the pic. "And to make it even sweeter we've been blessed with another angel on the way!! You make me happier than I have ever known! Here's to many many more years of the best parts of life."
