According to the owner "The graveyard brings good luck. Our business has been flourishing because of these graves. It gives people a unique experience.We have maintained the graves as they were. Our customers don't seem to mind.We begin our day by paying respects to the graves. We wipe them and cover them with cloth and also shower flowers on them. Members of the Boko Haram sect last night around 10pm attacked the Pela Birni village of Hawul LGA of Borno state, killing at least 2 people and burning down churches and houses. Reports say the men came into the Christian dominated village with AK 47 rifles and other powerful explosives which they used to shoot people indiscriminately and also set homes and churches ablaze. Amongst the churches destroyed was the Church of the Brethren. Chairman of Hawul Local Government Area, Dr. Andrew Usman Malgwi confirmed the incident and said he has informed the higher authorities "Yes there was an attack in one of my village yesterday which led to wanton killings and destruction of property. We have communicated to relevant security agencies on the matter who have swung into action with a view to apprehend the perpetrators, we have also mobilized our people to ascertain the damage and assist the displaced Persons as an interim measure” he said.

President Jonathan summons Interior Minister, Immigration boss

President Jonathan this morning summoned the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro and the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Parradang, to explain last Saturday's unfortunate incident at the poorly organized NIS recruitment exercise where over ten people died during stampedes at various test centres. The two ministers both arrived at the office of the Chief of Staff where they spent sometime before being invited into the President's office where they spent about 30mins. Both men declined to speak to reports on their discussion with the President when they came out. Hopefully, someone will explain to us why the government would ask jobless youths to pay N1,000 to write employment test.

Suspended CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi yesterday Sunday March 16th responded to allegations of financial recklessness leveled against him by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Federal Government. The petition dated 9th February 2014 by Mr Erastus Akingbola. The Ecobank staff who died in police custody on February 20th, after his employers accused him of fraud and handed him to the authorities, has been buried. (If you missed it, read here) Babatunde Oke was buried on Saturday March 15th in his hometown in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State . The family lawyer, Segun Akinloye, told Punch that samples had been taken from the deceased before he was buried and sent abroad for a comprehensive autopsy test. The lawyer said late Oke's family was worried about the delay in the release of the result and have written to the Department of Pathology, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, asking for autopsy results.

A Pakistani woman has died after setting herself on fire outside a police station when her alleged rapists were declared innocent. The Pakistan Tribune reports that Aamna Bibi, 23, died from her critical injuries at Nishtar Hospital Multan on Friday.She set herself ablaze in front of several policemen at a police station in Bet Mir Hazar Khan in the Muzaffarghar district of Punjab province in protest over the release of her alleged rapist, Nadar Khan.Investigating officer Zulfiqar Ahmed declared Khan innocent after receiving 70,000 rupees (around £700 ) as a bribe.She was returning home from college when Khan and four others allegedly gang-raped her on 5 January Amna's mother said: " My daughter was so dejected after her rapist got bail that she decided to end her life." None of the policemen present reportedly tried to stop the woman from committing suicide. Doctor Shaukat Malik of Nishter Hospital Multan said: "The girl had 80 per cent burn injuries. Missing Malaysian plane was Hijacked-Official reveals

After 7 days of speculation. Investigators have concluded that one or more people with significant flying experience hijacked the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, switched off communication devices and steered it off-course.A Malaysian official told AP that no motive has been established and no demands have been made known, and it is not yet clear where the plane was taken. However, the representative who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that hijacking was no longer just a theory: 'It is conclusive'. The Boeing 777's communication with the ground was severed just under one hour into a flight March 8 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Malaysian officials have said radar data suggests it may have turned back and crossed over the Malaysian peninsula after setting out on a northeastern path toward the Chinese capital. The Malaysian official said only a skilled aviator could navigate the plane the way it was flown after its last confirmed location over the South China Sea, and that it appeared to have been steered to avoid radar detection. The plane had enough fuel to fly for at least five hours after its last know location, meaning a vast swath of South and Southeast Asia would be within its reach.

Chris Brown jailed after being thrown out from Rehab for violating rules...AGAIN!!!

I don't know what's happening with him but TMZ reports he has been thrown back in jail.. "Chris Brown is on his way to jail right now, because he violated a judge's order by getting booted from the rehab facility where he's been living for nearly 4 months ... The judge in the Rihanna beating case ordered Chris to live in the Malibu rehab facility for 90 days to get anger management therapy, and he completed the stint earlier this month. BUT ... at the last court hearing, the judge modified things and ordered Chris to stay in the facility while the Washington D.C. assault case ran its course. The deal was this ... if Chris left rehab, he would go directly to jail. Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Brown was thrown out of the rehab facility this morning, for violating "internal rules." We do not know precisely what Chris did, but we're told it did not involve violence or drugs. Sources tell TMZ ... Chris was caught having "an inappropriate relationship" with a female worker at the beginning of the month, but that is NOT why he was thrown out today. As you recall, Chris was previously thrown out of a different facility for throwing a rock at his mom's car window. Chris was picked up by L.A. County Sheriff's deputies a short time ago and is on his way to jail." With the Malaysian plane still missing, U.S. Airways Flight 1702 was heading to Fort Lauderdale, Florida when the front tyre blew out and the pilot decided to abort takeoff. The nose gear then collapsed when the pilot tried to land the plane again. The plane was carrying 149 passengers and five crew who emerged unhurt ..A Passenger told CBS "“We were airborne, then struck back down by the nose.The plane went up, came back down a little bit the first time, then didn’t think much of it. A Houston-area father who found a 17 year old boy inside his daughter's room around 2:20am fatally shot and killed him The father, who was not identified, was notified by one of his children that there was someone in his 16-year-old daughter's room.He crept into the room and found her in bed with the boy.The father who had a gun then told the boy to identify himself but his daughter reportedly told her father that she did not know the teen and that the two were not in bed. The father said he told the teen not to move, but reportedly saw the teen reach for something, at which point police say the father opened fire. The teen did not have a gun. His daughter later confessed that she did indeed know the teen. Brazilian Goalkeeper who murdered & fed girlfriend to dogs allowed to sign football contract after 12months in jail

Star Brazilian goalkeeper , 28 year old Bruno Fernandes de Souza got a 22 year jail sentence for ordering the kidnap and murder of his girlfriend ex-girlfriend Eliza Samudio could be released to play football. According to Dailymail,The ex Flamengo captain who was sentenced in March 2012 ,confessed that he then dismembered her and fed to his pet dogs rottweilers.He demanded she have an abortion but she went ahead with the pregnancy,then threatened to take him to court if he didn't pay child support. But despite his confession and prison sentence, the married goalkeeper was allowed to sign a five-year contract with Montes Claros of the Campeonato Mineiro. It means Bruno could be allowed to leave prison on day release, accompanied by a police escort, to train with the team and play in matches. But before the contract can be approved and the day release considered a judge will have to grant his approval. Ms Samudio had previously claimed to have had an affair with Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo. Fernandes, who before his arrest had been linked with a multi-million pound transfer to AC Milan, has always claimed Ms Samudio was alive and had left the country. Her body has never been found.
